We stripped it of its imperial blue and colonial red. Replaced them with teal, gold, and purple. Colours that speak to the diaspora’s truth, not the empire’s narrative.

Purple for the royalty they tried to erase. Gold for the wealth they extracted but could never embody. Teal for the calm clarity of a generation done being polite.
